District Architecture is a Washington, DC based architectural firm specializing in detailed, customized, and environmentally responsible commercial, multifamily, and single-family architectural design. From the beginnings of an idea through technically detailed drawings, budget and permitting, and onsite during construction - District Architecture communicates directly with and on behalf of their clients to ensure that all of the client goals and requirements are met on time and within budget.  With over 18 years of experience, studio owner Dave Bloom RA, LEED AP, is skilled in all aspects of a project and truly loves the technical construction documentation process, which in turn ensures that the client’s wishes are translated to a finished product - nothing is lost in translation nor handed down to lesser experienced associates.

Prior to building District Architecture as a boutique firm, Dave held Project Architect positions with internationally acclaimed architectural firms Perkins + Will and Envision Design, working on such notable projects as the U.S. Green Building Council, Ballou High School, and World Wildlife Fund.
